BBMP polls’ roster in weeks time: Govt tells HC
BANGALORE: There’s good news relating to the much-delayed BBMP elections. The government on Monday told the high court that reservation according
to wards will be done in a week’s time.
Advocate general Ashok Haranahalli said the process could not be completed due to assembly by-polls. Then he sought a week’s time.
He said the draft amendment notification on using electronic voting machines in the BBMP polls was issued on August 12.
The division Bench adjourned the hearing by two weeks.
